This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application "MyMoney Pro - Expense & Budget" (the "App"), developed and published by Youssef Bouhouch ("I", "me", or "the Developer").
I am committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information I collect, how it is used, who it may be shared with, and your rights as a user. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
I collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the App:
Financial data you enter — amounts, merchants, categories, clients, dates, and notes.
App preferences — your selected language, currency, and display settings.
Subscription status — whether you are on the Free or Pro plan.
Receipt images (optional, Pro only) — when you use the AI Scan feature, the photo or image you select is temporarily transmitted to Google's servers for processing. The image is not permanently stored by me or Google after processing is complete.
I do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, device identifiers, or any other personal identifiers unless you contact me directly.
Your financial data is used solely to provide the App's functionality — displaying, organising, and exporting your records.
Receipt images are sent exclusively to process and extract expense data (merchant, amount, category) using Google's Gemini AI. The extracted data is returned to your device and stored locally. The image is not used for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.
App preferences are used to personalise your experience (language, currency, theme).
All financial data, categories, clients, and preferences are stored in a local SQLite database on your device. This data is never uploaded to my servers, never synced to the cloud, and never shared with third parties, except as described in Section 5 (AI Scan feature).
Uninstalling the App permanently and irreversibly deletes all locally stored data. I strongly recommend using the Export feature (PDF or JSON) to back up your records before uninstalling.
When you use the AI Scan feature (available to Pro subscribers), the following occurs:
You select or capture an image of a receipt or document.
The image is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to Google Firebase Cloud Functions, a cloud service operated by Google LLC.
Firebase passes the image to Google Gemini AI (a generative AI model) to extract merchant name, amount, and category.
The extracted data is returned to your device and saved locally.
Google does not permanently retain the image after processing.
By using the AI Scan feature, you acknowledge that your receipt image is temporarily processed by Google's infrastructure. If you do not wish to send images to Google, you can use the Manual Entry feature instead.

The App offers optional Pro subscriptions (monthly and yearly) processed entirely through Apple App Store in-app purchase infrastructure. I do not receive, process, or store any payment card or billing information.
Subscription management, renewal, and cancellation are handled through your Apple ID account settings. For refund requests, please contact Apple directly.

Google Firebase Cloud Functions — serverless compute used exclusively for AI receipt scanning (Pro feature). Data processed: receipt images, list of expense categories. Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Expo / React Native — open-source framework used to build the App. Expo may collect anonymous crash reports and diagnostic data. Policy: https://expo.dev/privacy
I do not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or data brokers.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR:
Right of access — you can view all your data directly inside the App.
Right to erasure — you can delete all data by resetting the App or uninstalling it.
Right to data portability — you can export all your data at any time using the Export function (PDF or JSON).
Right to object — you can stop using the AI Scan feature at any time and use Manual Entry instead.
As most data is stored exclusively on your device, I do not act as a data controller for that data. For the AI Scan feature, Google Firebase and Google Gemini AI act as data processors under my instructions, solely for receipt processing.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you the following rights:
Right to know — the categories of personal information I collect (see Section 2).
Right to delete — you may request deletion of your personal information by resetting or uninstalling the App, or by contacting me.
Right to opt-out — I do not sell personal information to third parties.
Right to non-discrimination — I will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under the applicable age has used the AI Scan feature and transmitted an image, please contact me immediately and I will take steps to address it.
Financial data entered manually is retained on your device for as long as you use the App. You can delete individual records inside the App, or delete all data by resetting or uninstalling the App.
Receipt images used for AI scanning are not retained by me. Google's data retention practices for transient processing are governed by their privacy policy.
When you use the AI Scan feature, your receipt image is transferred to Google's servers, which may be located outside your country of residence, including the United States. Google maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers in accordance with applicable law, including Standard Contractual Clauses for EEA users.
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's functionality or applicable law. When I do, I will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, I will provide notice within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
