Privacy Policy for IonScribe

1. Overview
   IonScribe (“the App”) helps you perform chemistry calculations, browse element information, and save calculation history on your device. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your choices.

2. Information We Collect
   2.1 Data you create in the App

• Calculation sessions you save (tool type, inputs, results, timestamps)

• App preferences (e.g., precision, touch feedback settings)
  This data is stored locally on your device.

2.2 Purchases
If you choose to send a tip, purchases are processed by the app store (Google Play Billing / Apple In‑App Purchase). The App does not receive your full payment information (such as your card number). The store may provide purchase confirmations/receipts and other transaction details as part of its service.

2.3 Web content
When you open the Legal page, the App displays an external web page inside a built-in browser view. That website may collect information according to its own policies (for example, server logs).

2.4 What we do not collect
IonScribe is not designed to require account creation. The App does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or microphone access.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide core functionality (run calculations, display element information)

• To store your saved sessions and preferences on your device

• To handle tip purchases (via the store’s purchase flow)

• To show the Legal page content when you request it

4. Sharing of Information
   IonScribe does not sell your personal information.
   We do not share your locally stored sessions or settings with third parties because they remain on your device unless you choose to copy/share information yourself (for example, copying values to the clipboard).

5. Data Storage and Retention

• Saved sessions and settings are stored locally on your device until you delete them from within the App or uninstall the App.

• You can remove individual entries from the Notebook or wipe the Notebook entirely using the in-app controls.

6. Security
   We use platform-standard mechanisms for local app storage. No method of storage is 100% secure; please use your device security features (PIN/biometrics) to protect access to your device.

7. Children’s Privacy
   IonScribe is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will address the request.

8. Your Choices

• You can adjust settings (precision, touch feedback, motion speed) at any time.

• You can delete saved sessions individually or wipe your Notebook.

• You can choose not to use the tip feature.

9. Changes to This Policy
   We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App or legal requirements. We will update the Effective Date and post the revised policy on this page.
