INTRO AND ABOUT

My name is Dakota Hitzemann. This course has been my 2023 Senior Research project for the Honors Academy. Most of this course is not my original content, I have incorporated many YouTube videos, simulations, and other resources made by those who teach far better than me. However, I do hope to string these resources together in one cohesive and quick course that allows you to learn something about org chem. This course was created for three reasons:

• Concordia has no organic chemistry class, leaving many graduates unprepared for college

• Some students, like myself, want to explore chemistry for fun beyond AP

• Compiling this course has helped me personally prepare myself for my upcoming years of schooling

Whether you are taking this course out of curiosity for chemistry, or for college preparation, I hope that it benefits you in your future!

While this course will not dive too far into organic chemistry, some topics may be difficult. I recommend that you have at least passed the normal chemistry class before taking this. However, you should feel under no pressure while taking this. The course is self guided for a reason, to accommodate you! Feel free to ask Mr. Jane for help with any sections that you may struggle with. I encourage you to take your time with this and learn the material thoroughly.

While this website is compatible with a phone, I would highly encourage anyone using it to be on a iPad or computer as it is formatted for larger screens.
