Currently working as lecturer professor at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. My competencies and interests mainly cover the areas of Information Systems Interoperability, Knowledge Modeling and Big Data Processing applied to various business domains.
Acted as evaluator and reviewer for the European Commission and for the Research Council of Norway, for the past twelve years. I was co-chair of the International Workshop on Methods, Evaluation, Tools and Applications for the Creation and Consumption of Structured Data for the e-Society (Meta4eS) between 2012-2019 and General Workshop Chair at OnTheMove Conferences and Workshopsbetween 2016-2019. I act as Program Committee member for several prestigious international journals and conferences. I am co-chairing the RuleML+RR 8th Doctoral Consortium this year.
My current work is around Big Data projects and innovations. I particularly welcome and invite collaborations with students within larger collaboration frameworks involving the local IT industry and/or other Faculties. I have been awarded the ANIS Fellowship for innovations in Big Data teaching in 2008. More details can be found in the local media here.
