By accessing or using our mobile application, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Invoice Gem is an offline-first application. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data (such as your name, business details, client lists, or invoice history) on our own servers.
All data you enter into the app is stored locally on your device. You retain full ownership and control over your data.
To provide specific features, we request access to the following hardware and software features on your device:
Camera & Photo Gallery: Used strictly to allow you to upload and display your Business Logo on your invoices. We do not access other photos or upload them to any server.
Biometrics (Fingerprint/Face ID): Used solely to provide the App Lock security feature. Your biometric data is processed securely by the Android system; we never access, store, or transmit your biometric signature.
Storage (Read/Write): Required to save generated PDF invoices and CSV reports to your device so you can share them.
Since we do not collect your data remotely, we do not use your information for marketing, analytics, or tracking. The data you enter is used exclusively by the app on your device to:
Generate professional PDF invoices.
Calculate totals, taxes, and discounts.
Secure access to the app via Biometrics.
Maintain your client and product databases locally.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties.
Sharing Invoices: If you choose to share an invoice (PDF) or report (CSV) via email, WhatsApp, or other apps, that data is handled by the third-party app you select.
Google Play Services: The app uses Google Play Services, which may collect generic diagnostic data (like crash logs) to help us fix bugs. This data is anonymized and does not contain your invoices or client details.
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information:
Local Storage: Your data never leaves your device unless you manually export it.
Biometric Lock: We provide an optional security layer allowing you to lock the app using your device's biometric security.
No Remote Access: We have no "backdoor" access to your data. If you lose your device or delete the app without a backup, your data may be lost. We strongly recommend regularly exporting your reports (CSV) as a backup.
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Since our app is a business tool, it is not targeted towards children.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
