InvestScribe is a personal finance calculator developed by Madhavan S. This policy explains what information the app uses.
What the app does
InvestScribe provides calculators (SIP, EMI, CAGR, SWP, lumpsum, stock average, margin loan, and dividends) and can show market and dividend information for tickers you enter. It is not a bank, broker, or investment advisor. Figures are estimates and may be incomplete or delayed.
Information we collect
We do not require you to create an account. We do not run ads in the app. Data stays on your device unless noted below:
- Settings: theme (dark/light) and whether you have seen onboarding.
- Saved dividends: ticker, exchange, year, and amounts you choose to store.
- Temporary market cache: recent ticker responses, stored locally.
We do not sell your data. We do not have a server that stores your personal profile.
Internet and third parties
When you look up a stock or dividend, the app requests public market data from Yahoo Finance. Those services receive the ticker you typed and standard technical request data under their own privacy policies.
If you tap Buy me a coffee, you leave the app and open Buy Me a Coffee, which has its own privacy policy. We do not process that payment inside InvestScribe.
If you install InvestScribe from Google Play, Google may collect device and usage information as described in Google’s privacy policy.
Permissions
The Android app uses Internet and network-state access only to fetch market data you request.
Children
InvestScribe is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13.
Data retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you clear app storage or uninstall. Uninstalling InvestScribe removes the local database and settings.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do.
