Investiture Ceremony
"A leader is the one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.”
Nazareth Primary School held its Investiture Ceremony on 4th July 2025. The programme began by invoking God’s blessings through a graceful prayer dance, setting a reverent and joyful tone for the event.
This was followed by a thought-provoking skit on leadership, which beautifully depicted the qualities of a true leader, the importance of having a leader, and the need to respect those entrusted with responsibilities. The children attentively observed and absorbed the values of good leadership and the importance of guiding others with fairness and integrity.
The ceremony continued with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of wisdom and knowledge. This was accompanied by a meaningful prayer and scripture reading, invoking God’s blessings upon the newly appointed leaders.
With pride and dignity, the newly elected council members marched towards the dais, reflecting confidence and readiness for their new roles. Sr. Stella Mary, the Headmistress, and Mrs. Vaishali Corriea the academic coordinator honoured the young leaders by adorning them with their badges and sashes, marking the official beginning of their leadership journey.
The newly invested leaders then took a solemn oath of loyalty, commitment, and dedication, pledging to carry out their duties with sincerity and integrity.
In her inspiring address, Headmistress Sr. Stella Mary congratulated the leaders and encouraged all students to actively support and share responsibilities, reminding them that leadership is not confined to titles, but reflected in everyday actions. She motivated everyone with her optimistic words, reinforcing the importance of unity, responsibility, and service within the school community.
The ceremony concluded on a note of pride and enthusiasm as the newly appointed leaders led their fellow students back to their classrooms, symbolizing a new chapter of leadership and collective growth at Nazareth Primary School.
