The ICSC...
The Invertebrate Club of Southern California (ICSC) is dedicated to building the community of invertebrate enthusiasts, breeders, conservationists, and researchers in Southern California. Since its founding in 2019, the ICSC has become California's largest amateur invertebrate enthusiast orgainzation, hosting monthly meetings, collection trips, outreaches, and other events.
Goals
We work to increase awareness of California native species and invertebrates in general, assist in conserving SoCal habitats and species, support research and captive breeding projects, and connect amateurs and professionals with each other.
Work
We foster the Community, Understanding, and Conservation of invertebrates in Southern California and the world more broadly through outreaches to the local community, monitoring local invertebrate populations, assiting with biodiversity research, restoring habitat through trash removal, and by promoting responsible collecting practices and captive breeding.
