I’m Jarrel Byer, an independent inventor from Trinidad & Tobago, and the creator of original products like the PopCard Wallet and a precision-engineered rolling tray with built-in grinding studs. I design, prototype, test, and refine my own products — and I teach invention development as a real skill anyone can master.


My Journey Into Inventing

My commitment to mastering skills started early. In 2013, I began studying how motivation, mindfulness, flow state, and natural strengths combine to create high-level performance.

I graduated secondary school with strong grades in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Business, English, and Literature, then continued into pre-med studies. There, I completed the full theoretical coursework in Anatomy, Physiology, Cardiology, Neuroscience, and Psychology. This deep understanding of the brain and human behavior later became a major advantage in my invention work.

I also studied Practical Prototyping and Manufacturing Processes within a Design & Manufacturing Engineering program, building the hands-on skills I now use daily.


How Inventing Became My Path

I’ve always been drawn to visual thinking and problem-solving. When I discovered inventing, it felt natural. I learned how imagination is rooted in real brain structures like the occipital and frontal lobes — the visual and strategic centers — and I used that knowledge to design better products.
