The USPR lab is a research community within the Department of Urban Engineering at the Incheon National University, South Korea.
We mainly focus on understanding the interactions between individuals' urban activities, socio-demographics, environmental and land use, and transportation systems using spatial matrices and big data. Individuals's urban activities are typically measured by variables associated with travel demand, but also including residential location and workplace choices, spatial accessibility, land use, life satisfaction, lifetime use, etc. This provides implications for urban and regional planning and policy.
We also explore smart mobility technologies associated with electrification, automation, and shared mobility, and their effects on individuals' urban activities. These technologies are helping to solve existing urban and transportation problems by providing better public services, using resources efficiently, and reducing environmental impacts. In particular, we are working on several research associated with electric vehicles (EVs) and public charging infrastructure.
