Computer Science is a rapidly growing field and hence exposure in high school can lead to valuable skills and a solid foundation for future studies or careers in technology-related fields.
An education in computer science opens doors to pursue computer science majors in college.
Unfortunately, over half the states in the US, including Maryland, do not require computer science education in high school.
