How to reach Tropea

By car: If traveling from the north on the Salerno-Reggio Calabria road, the recommended exit is Pizzo Calabro, then continue to Tropea. For those coming from the south, the recommended exit is Rosarno.

By train: The nearest railway stations are Tropea and Vibo Valentia-Pizzo (35 km from Tropea).

By plane: The reference airport is Lamezia Terme (45 km from Tropea), where it will be possible to rent a car or use railway transportation to reach the city of Tropea.

How to reach Tropis Hotel from Lamezia Terme Airport: local bus+train

The simplest option is to take a local bus from Lamezia Terme Airport to Lamezia Terme Centrale (train station) and then a local train from Lamezia Terme Centrale to Tropea.

After you exit from the baggage claim area, leave the airport using the first exit on your right. When you reach the footpath, turn right. The bus stop is located 10/20 meters away. Tickets for the bus can be purchased at the newsagent located on your right in the main hall of the airport, just after you exit the baggage claim area. Alternatively, they can be bought directly from the driver on the bus. The bus departs every half an hour.

The train station is very close to the airport, so the bus ride will only take a few minutes to reach the station.

At the station, tickets to Tropea can be bought from the automatic machines.

The journey from Lamezia station to Tropea will take approximately 50/55 minutes. Intermediate stations are Pizzo, Vibo Marina, Briatico, Zambrone, and Parghelia.

Therefore, the timetables of services from Lamezia Terme Airport to Lamezia Terme train station and from Lamezia Terme train station to Tropea can be found at that link. Importantly, tickets for both the bus and the train can also be purchased online on that website. The total price is about 6 euros.

Additionally, there is a more complicated option with two connections: departure at 11:15 and arrival at 13:19 (price 16.70 EUR).

From Tropea station to Hotel Tropis, it's a short walk of approximately 100 meters. When you exit the station, turn left and follow the street until you reach a parking area on your right. The Hotel Tropis is located just on the opposite side of this parking area, facing away from the railway.
