This week, our focus shifts to the relationship among state, law, and political movements. We begin to examine how Islamic authority is interpreted, institutionalized, and mobilized in different contexts.
Start with the lecture, then work through Session 5 and Session 6. As before, the materials should be approached together, with attention to how concepts develop across them.
