The replacement itself is rather easy, you do need a small Torx screwdriver to remove the card, and you do need to be careful to not tear the ribbon cable attached to the faceplate during disassembly, and it requires a bit of finesse to get the unit back together, but I managed to do it. As of this morning my controller was no longer dropping signal! I managed to play an entire Overwatch match wirelessly for the first time in probably 3 years.
