During the fall 2022 semester, the students of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador's ED2711: Teaching Technology Education: Theory, Method, and Practice had the opportunity to interview seven experts within their field of study. The interviews were streamed live during class periods and all technical preparations, interview logistics, and on air hosting were designed and developed by the students following a set of constraints and criteria. The articles that formed the basis of the interview content were chosen by the course instructor, Dr. David Gill, to align with some of the major themes found within the course syllabus. This was a learning project and each student group was responsible to de-brief the next group on the lessons learned and areas that could be improved for the next streaming interview. These de-briefings were supported by Dr. Gill and Ms. Caitlin Sparkes in her role as peer instructional support specialist.
The entire class would like to thank the participating scholars for adding to the richness of ED2711 and their support in developing the capacity of pre-service technology education teachers. Your time with us was both memorable and valuable.
