The Lead Designer of this project worked with all divisions of the development team to direct the overall design of the game and facilitate the timely deliver thereof. The totality of their work on Interstellar Spelunkers spanned the design and development of art assets, core gameplay mechanics, a concise rule sheet, a creative theme, and the game's detailed website outlining the totality of the design process and its result.
The Head Gameplay Designer of this project took the leading role in developing our mechanics of gameplay. This included the progression process in the Space Stage, the miner launching system in the Spelunking Stage, and the interactive dynamics between opposing teams, as well as paired teammates.
The Head Board Designer of this project took the leading role in conceptualizing and creating the structural game board for Interstellar Spelunkers. Their contributions ranged from allocating the board's materials, manufacturing a foldable, three-part game board, and applying the art assets to it.
The Art Director of this project took the leading role in designing and producing the art assets that can be seen on the game board. Their process of development primarily included work in Photoshop to create custom, immersive artwork that conveyed Interstellar Spelunker's unique theme.
The Head Rule Designer of this project took the leading role in composing Interstellar Spelunker's comprehensible rule sheet. This included the difficult task of transforming a complex, multi-stage game into a simple and fun tabletop experience. Their work was composed of developing a quick and easy set-up process, breaking down the game into nine sequential steps, and minimizing the amount of confusion for new players.
