Panel Discussion: Relationship to Community/Relationship Building

Many of our campuses are located in rural communities that do not mirror the diversity of the faculty, staff, and students that we hope to make welcome in our university community. Likewise, our campus communities and leadership don’t reflect our aspirations. We will discuss institutional, geographic, political, and cultural issues and structures that prevent community and relationship building needed for personal fulfilment which also impact recruitment and retention. We will focus our questions on how to address intersectionality within these issues to build sustaining relationships and communities.
