This week there was the annual Enterprise Week on the IADT campus. Run with support from the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Local Enterprise Office, the aim of the week was to create awareness of entrepreneurship among the student body.
There was a series of activities scheduled across the campus. As well as guest lecturers with a variety of entrepreneurs, graduates and business people, there was a Creative Dragon’s Den competition, mentoring and opportunities to meet potential employers.
Students were able to demonstrate their entrepreneurial flair by showcasing their business ideas and concepts during the week.
Congratulations to Liam McGrath on winning the 2018 IADT Creative Dragons' Den competition. Liam is a second year entrepreneurship & management student. All 6 finalists were excellent and the businesses varied from music to catering to video to student accommodation to transport to footwear. The dragons included Lisa Cunningham (Vogue Business Development), Ann Marie Phelan (IADT Media Cube) and Peter Bastable (Pinergy).
