The ISSB has international support with its work to develop sustainability disclosure standards backed by the G7, the G20, the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), the Financial Stability Board, African Finance Ministers and Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors from more than 40 jurisdictions.

International days and weeks are occasions to educate the public on issues of concern, to mobilize political will and resources to address global problems, and to celebrate and reinforce achievements of humanity. The existence of international days predates the establishment of the United Nations, but the UN has embraced them as a powerful advocacy tool. We also mark other UN observances.

The annual ECA-funded Open Doors report is a definitive survey on international and U.S. higher education student mobility. The briefing offers the public and members of the media access to the newest data available from the annual ECA-funded Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange, published by the Institute of International Education (IIE). Report highlights will include survey results on international and U.S. student mobility, the top sending and receiving countries, and statistics on student demographics.

The Delegates entrusted WHO, as one of its functions, with the task of establishing and revising the necessary international nomenclatures of diseases and causes of death, giving the WorldHealth Assembly authority to adapt regulations in respect, such as nomenclatures, for consideration and action, the International Statistical Classification ofDiseases, Injuries and Causes of Death and accompanying recommendations, destined to improve international uniformity and comparability of statistics of morbidity and mortality.

The Insurance Core Principles form the globally accepted framework for insurance supervision. ComFrame builds on the ICPs and focuses on the group-wide supervision of internationally active insurance groups. Together these support the protection of policyholders and promote the stability of the global financial system.

The Insurance Capital Standard (ICS) is being developed as a consolidated group-wide capital standard for internationally active insurance groups and forms the quantitative element of ComFrame. It consists of three components: valuation, qualifying capital resources, and a standard method for the ICS capital requirement.

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is an international financial institution and a specialized agency of the United Nations dedicated to eradicating poverty and hunger in rural areas of developing countries.
