Each path uncovers hidden aspects, particularly from level 2 onward, where true initiation begins. These paths, once secret, include internal practices like alchemy, which were historically reserved for the nobility. Most of these traditions follow an oral transmission, passed down within small, select groups of individuals.

Contrary to popular belief, alchemy is not about transforming actual lead into gold 1.  Alchemy should be understood symbolically, rather than as a literal process of turning lead into gold. At its essence, alchemy is about cultivating INNER POWER within ourselves. To truly grasp alchemy, one must decode its symbolism, which ultimately guides us toward a precise practice for developing the 'gold' within us—this gold embodies our divine essence.

1. While true alchemy focuses on developing the gold within ourselves, this doesn't imply that external paths of alchemy do not exist. Certain schools, such as the Frères Aînés de la Rose + Croix in France or the teachings of the Asiatische Brüder in Germany, offer specific paths toward external alchemy. However, these external teachings are meant to complement the practice of internal alchemy. The teachings of the Arcana Arcanorum will guide individuals in understanding what is meant by this distinction, the ultimate goal of alchemy is to attain what can best be described as the Body of Light (or glory), which is synonymous with the quest for the Holy Graal; Ultimate Purity.
