Kirk joined the community on Jan 16 2022 as a member of the LSPD. He knew from the start that he'd be going back into IDT one day. He applied & interviewed some time around February or March of 2022 and was denied because there weren't enough positions open for them to fill. He was then told that they'd re-interview me when the next wave of applicants was being decided. Kirk noticed that they had opened applications again in April 2022, but he hadn't been contacted. So he went out of my way to contact them after the application phase closed and asked if he was able to attend the interviews still, and they said yes. Kirk then interviewed and was accepted into the department as an IDT Lead, even though the command was concerned with his availability at his job at the time, and generally previous IDT members don't do so well on their second go-around and end up going inactive, resigning, or being removed for whatever reason. Not to mention, during his prior membership he wasn't incredibly active and had a very bad attitude issue. But, they took a chance on him and brought him in. Kirk had experienced a lot of personal growth in the 2 years since he had last been in IDT and he made them aware of that. So, on Apr 04 2022 he was onboarded as an IDT Lead & Staff-In-Training.
Kirk hit the ground running, taking reigns on the current iteration of the law enforcement training. He put many months of hard work into this project and had brought it to life after it had been stagnant for a year already. Once that rolled out, he was promoted to IDT Supervisor & Staff on Aug 07 2022. From there, he focused mainly on supervisor duties like hiring people into IDT, handling applications, and assisting with creating other trainings.
Kirk was then promoted to Senior Staff on Oct 08 2022. It was an interesting experience because he was at a concert when IDT COC was scheduled to have our meeting. He missed the opening acts so that he could attend the meeting.
On Dec 01 2022, Kirk was promoted to IDT Manager & IDT Command. At this point, the main reason he had been promoted to this position was because of his work on the current IDT Roster which was a HUGE quality of life upgrade from the prior one and removed a lot of manual work from the rest of the COC.
Kirk then began work on Staff Development. Kirk led the creation of this project, and essentially was the only person to put pen to paper on it. Kirk had some guidance from HODs & HA, but generally it was his "baby" and Kirk worked very hard on it non-stop for quite a while. When it was finally finished, Kirk was promoted to Junior Administrator & IDT Assistant Deputy Director on Mar 03 2023. He then held this position for quite a long time.
Then, the previous IDT Director as well as multiple other members of IDT Command & COC resigned from the community with essentially no warning in mid-September 2023. Kirk was then placed as the Interim IDT Director. His main focus at the time was rebuilding the department by growing its COC and increasing the advertisement for members to become IDT Volunteers. Only a month after being placed as interim, Twitchcon 2023 happened. This was a meetup that included Raffi, Mith, Dakota C., William G., Joey A., and Kirk. Raffi had surprised everyone with a dinner at Gordon Ramsay's Hells Kitchen on the Vegas Strip on Saturday Oct 22 2023. It was at this dinner that Raffi started a Discord live stream in the MWRP Discord and surprised Kirk on camera with the announcement that he was being named IDT Director and receiving the full duties of an HOD. It was a very unforgettable and fun experience and he will cherish that memory for a long time.
I started my journey in MidwestRP with the intentions of joining IDT eventually and working to better the community by helping others. I joined the community as an SAHP Trooper, working through the ranks and eventually reaching Master Trooper. While doing this, I eventually joined the Internal Development Team as a Volunteer, conducting trainings and interviews. I also joined the Civilian Department as a Reserve. Eventually, I applied to be a Full-Time Training Officer. After acceptance, I worked to become the only certified trainer to train all departments and also conduct interviews. Through time, I continued my 100-point sprees and did my best to help others through these trainings and interviews. After some time, I was invited into IDT CoC. I started as an Advisor and consistently tried to perform the best I could. I worked at bettering the training procedures, simplifying google sheet tasks with automation and scripting, and again working with the intention to help others. IDT lateral hires opened, inviting anyone in the community to apply for IDT Advisor and/or a IDT Command position. Deciding to attempt my luck, I applied for an IDT Command lateral position. Unfortunately I was informed it was denied. However, after a few weeks, the Command team had changed their mind and a lateral hire was approved by HA. I was now an IDT Manager. While this was awkward for some time, I did my best in the position, facilitating whatever necessary and more focusing on the administrative side of IDT. Eventually and under new IDT Command leadership, I was promoted to Junior Administrator and IDT Assist. Deputy Director. I continued my efforts to better the community and the department. After some time, I was promoted to IDT Deputy Director under Kirk. I continued my tenure as the IDT Deputy Director. I worked through many different periods of IDT and the community with the sole purpose of helping the new members.Â
