InterFest is seeking a Black liberationist skilled in facilitation to guide our time at SPACE on Ryder Farm in Summer 2021. We center and deeply value Black People, Love, Organism Pleasure, Intentional Time, and Abundance Mentality. The right facilitator will have a history of work rooted in these same values.

Kristen Adele Calhoun | she/her Writer, actor, producer and curator who loves Black people. Her work is inspired by red clay roads, the Atlantic Ocean, bloodline healing, fugitivity, sensuality, uprising and joy. She is an I AM SOUL Playwriting Resident at Dr. Barbara Ann Teer’s National Black Theatre, the founding Program Director of ArtChangeUS, an Assistant Editor of Contemporary Plays by Women of Color and a co-producer of InterFest, an intersectional arts and ideas festival that began at the Harlem School of the Arts. A native of Dallas, Texas, she currently splits her time between Ghana, Mexico and the United States of America.

Nikki Vera | she/her Bronx-born writer, theatre diversifier, community engagement producer and most importantly, active advocate for Blackness and its liberation. She is a co-founder of INTERFEST and the founder of My Digital Strategist - a digital strategy company specifically catered to theaters, artists and small start ups. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NYU Tisch Dramatic Writing with a concentration in playwrighting and a Masters of Science in Interactive and Direct Marketing from Mercy College. She is currently the Director of Marketing and Audience Services at MCC Theater.
