What is Intercede?
Intercede is a prayer walking app that helps churches, groups, and individuals track which streets in their city have been prayed over — so communities can work together to blanket their entire city in prayer.
Why does Intercede need my location?
Intercede uses your GPS location to mark streets on the map as you walk and pray over them. This allows your prayer group to see which streets have been covered and which still need prayer. Location is only accessed while you are actively using the app.
How do I join a prayer group?
After creating your account, you can join an existing group using an invite link from your church or group leader, or create a new group for your community.
Can I use Intercede without sharing my location?
Location access is required for the core functionality of the app — tracking prayed streets. Without it, the app cannot mark your prayer walks on the map. You can revoke location permission in your device settings at any time.
How do I delete my account?
To request account deletion, please email us at juliemcguire337@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and we will process it within 7 business days.
The app is not loading. What should I do?
Please check your internet connection and try restarting the app. If the issue persists, contact us at juliemcguire337@gmail.com.
Intercede was built to encourage churches and prayer communities to take their intercession to the streets — literally. By tracking which streets have been prayed over, groups can coordinate and ensure no street in their city is left uncovered.
