IEB started in Madrid, Spain as a boutique language school which worked with the local authorities, school and businesses to provide in person English support. We also had our own on-site academy where offered extra-curricular evening classes.

Everyone who has ever worked with IEB has been either TEFL qualified to teach English Additional Language or held a teaching diploma from either the UK, USA or Australia. All tutors have always been native speakers.

The founder, Rachel, moved the the UAE in 2022 where she met her Finnish husband (who appreciates her English lessons on a daily basis!) and worked in British International schools. It was this experience which allowed her to truly empathise with international parents trying to understand the British and American systems. Moreover, she wanted to bring the high quality tutoring services of IEB to help support all children and adults striving to achieve. The mission of IEB has always been to remove barriers, such as English speaking, from anyones true and deserving success. From schools, to home, to offices, we are here for you succeed in English.
