With that being said, can you confirm if you already tried the driver provided by Asus? If yes, please share the result with us.

-Yes I have tried all version of drivers, the newest to the oldest and the OEM CD driver. all didnt work....

Then i deleted Win10 and re-installed Win7 and the ethernet started working again....

I downloaded a 3rd party driver software and next to my ethernet adapter, it has the "repair" option. Also, in the I/O panel, the yellow light is on when the cable is in, which according to the manual means its linked, so the adapter has power going to it and is functional I'm assuming?? But I'm at a standstill here I'm completely clueless on what to do. I've tried pretty much all the Code 10 fixes online, nothing has worked.

I would like to add that I am having this same issue. My device keeps saying it cannot start. I have an Asus TUF Z490 Plus WiFi board. Luckil.y I have an AX router, so my wifi speeds are better than most LAN. The onboard ethernet is 1219-V and is enabled in the bios. Latest bios and drivers. Can someone help? What would cause it to just be defective when the rest of the board works fine?

Hello, I am having a similar issue with the Inetl(R) Ethernet Connection (2) 1219-V name. I changed the friendly name as mentioned earlier but then I went to update drivers an the name changed back to the one with the (2) in it. And it seems I cannot get a current driver for this device to install. I am having issues because it seems to be blocking me from using certain apps and getting to certain websites when using and Ethernet connection.

My issue may or may not be related to the (2) in the name, but I'm hoping someone here can help. I'm running an Asus X299-A system with its Intel Network Adapter. I'm running Win10 64-bit and I've updated the LAN driver to the latest I can find, v22.9.16.0. Like others here, my device shown in Device Manager contains the (2). I can live with the unexplained (2) in the name, but I'm pulling my hair out over an intermittent problem with connection on boot: sometimes -- rarely I admit, but often enough to have me looking for an answer -- I find at logon that I can connect to only a few websites and others are unavailable. I've learned from experience that at this point I need to look at my network connection which will now be named "Network 2" instead of the normal "Network." With that confirmed, I've learned to go into Device Manager, look under Network Adapters, uninstall the Intel Ethernet Connection (2), open Action/Scan for Hardware Changes, and with the scan complete I will have my "Network" connection back and functioning normally without the "2." This happens once every 20 boots or so, and I have no idea what to do about it. As I'm grasping at straws, I'm wondering if the "(2)" in the network adapter's name can be confusing the LAN driver as it tries to make a connection at boot? Maybe? Any other ideas? Thanks.

4) open device manager from control panel, go to network adapters and right click your intel network adapter (in my case Ethernet connection I-219 v) and click properties. Go to driver --> update driver --> browse my computer for drivers --> make sure "include subfolders" is checked and select the folder extracted in step 3.

Additionally, could you link me to the latest ethernet driver compatible with windows 11? The current driver installed is the one that installs automatically with windows; I have not been able to find the latest compatible driver that I could download and install manually.

The ethernet on my PC suddenly went out a couple of days ago when I has installed the Intel Driver & Support Assistant and my BIOS/UEFI hasn't been able to get a connection to my ethernet port in general. Wi-Fi works just as fine but I don't get very good signal because of the location of my router and where my PC is located in my house.

However when i boot up my installation, I have no network connection. The ethernet port lights are not blinking and lspci does not list any ethernet cards. I have downloaded the intel utility mentioned above and tried to run $ sudo ./bootutil64e -NIC=1 -DEFAULTCONFIG first from a chrooted environment, but still no network after reboot. then I have tried it from the booted system directly, but there i got the following error:

What's so interesting: 15 59 was the primary identifier of the i218-V, and 15 5A primary identifier of the i218-LM in the driver offered once by intel in a ProEmbSW12 Embedded-driver-package (which was later removed as stated earlier here, point 7).

This weekend I was experimenting with installing OMV and Unraid. On Unraid, everything went fine and I was up and running. On OMV, I could not get past the network set up, either recognizing my driver (Intel Ethernet Connection I219-V network driver; there's an Intel 2.5g Driver for Linux in the drop down that doesn't do anything when I select it) or failing to get an IP from my DHCP server. From the Unraid set up, that clears my hardware and network from having the issue, so it seems like all answers are pointing back to the drivers issue on the OMV installer. When I downloaded the driver pack from intel, I get a boatload of files, so not sure which is needed for this to put on a usb stick and make available.

Thanks for pointing me to where to find the logs. I checked the ZTIDrivers.log, and I can't find the network driver I need anywhere within the log. I thought that maybe the import of the drivers from the CAB file hadn't worked, so I imported the ethernet driver separately from a downloaded file and tried again. Same result. All drivers are installed except the ethernet driver, and the log shows no evidence of it trying to install the driver. It's like the installation process doesn't even think it needs the driver and doesn't bother trying to install it so there are not even any errors in the log. 17dc91bb1f
