The System Research Lab in the Department of CSE at NIT Durgapur has successfully developed its own IoT nodes for research and lab sessions. After numerous iterations, our dedicated scholars and engineers have created this board, and I’m excited to announce that we have used these IoT nodes in the Internet of Things class for the 2024-25 batch. Our M.Tech and PhD scholars found the lab and class sessions both interesting and engaging!
This board is equipped with the following controllers and sensors:
ESP32S3 (TinyML), 4G module, Display screen, SD card slot
Humidity, temperature, pressure, and pollution sensors
Sound card , 10DoF sensor (Gyro, Accelerometer, and Compass) , Multiple open slots (You can connect I2C, SPI, UART Sensor/You connect your own sensors), attached Bread board
Potential Applications:
Running small machine learning programs
Pollution monitoring
Speech processing
Human activity recognition
* Exploring various ML capabilities on this board
