About Carter

Carter has always had a passion for public service and community protection. His journey began with the Wilson Police Explorer program, which led to leadership roles in retail loss prevention and a deep commitment to law enforcement. After earning his associate degree in criminal justice technology from Wilson Community College, he continued on and graduated at the top of the 108th Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy and served with the Apex Police Department.

Following the heartbreaking loss of his father to COVID-19, Carter experienced firsthand the impact of proper life insurance. That moment reshaped his path — driving him to help families protect what matters most. He entered the insurance industry, starting with a local State Farm agency, and eventually found his home at Highstreet | Lawson Insurance Group.

Today, Carter specializes in personal lines insurance — helping individuals and families with all their insurance needs across North Carolina.
