My name is Kayla Rivers-Powell, and I am a graduate student at Louisiana State University where I am studying educational technology. I am an instructional designer with a background in secondary English education.

My interest in education and teaching started at an early age. In high school I worked at a summer camp where I was responsible for leading a variety of classes for the campers. After high school, I went to college and got my undergraduate degree in English education. I've recently made the transition from teaching in a traditional K-12 classroom to the more corporate side of instructional design.

When I have free time, I love to read. By the time I finish one book, I've added three new ones to the shelf. I have a terrible case of wanderlust, so I love seeing new places and trying new things. I also love live music, coffee shops, and podcasts.
