Inspired by the legacy of my grandfather and by the opportunities instructional design provides, I strive to create learning materials that empower and push learners to reach their greatest potential. Through the work that I have done both in and out of the classroom, I am confident in helping organizations improve performance and impact by designing instructional solutions fueled by adult learning principles, data, and inclusive design.
I graduated with a Bachelor's in Education and Creative Writing from the University of Washington and I earned my TEFL certificate from the International TEFL academy. Currently, I am a graduate student in the Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning program at Boise State University, where I work as a research assistant in the Learning strategy lab with Dr. Seth Martinez. When I'm not studying or developing learning solutions, I enjoy playing tennis, reading, traveling, writing, and spending time with my family and friends. I call Somalia, Ohio, and now Seattle home.Â
