1. Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for admission to our Bachelor’s in Theology programs, you must meet the following requirements:
A. Academic Requirements
High School Diploma: Hold a secondary school leaving certificate (Haitian Baccalauréat) or a recognized equivalent.
Language Proficiency: Demonstrate sufficient mastery of French and/English or Haitian Creole (depending on the program) to follow university-level courses.
Entrance Exam: Successfully pass the IBI admission test (see Section 3).
B. Spiritual and Character Requirements
Conversion and Walk: Be able to testify to a conversion experience and maintain a walk consistent with the ethical standards of the Gospel.
Commitment: Be an active and regular member of a recognized evangelical Christian church for at least two (2) years.
Pastoral Approval: Be recommended by the pastor of your local church, attesting to your character and potential calling.
2. Application Procedure (Step-by-Step)
Step 1: Document Preparation Gather the following documents for submission:
Application Form (available at the Institute’s office).
Personal Testimony: A 500-word essay describing your call to ministry and your vision.
Diplomas: Certified copies of your high school diploma.
Identification: Copy of your CIN/NIF (National Identification or Tax Card).
Pastoral Recommendation: A sealed Letter of Recommendation from your pastor.
Application Fee: Receipt of payment for the non-refundable application fee.
Step 2: The Admission Test Once your file is accepted, you will be called to take the IBI Admission Test, which evaluates:
Reading comprehension.
Fundamental biblical knowledge.
General knowledge.
Step 3: The Final Interview Candidates who pass the test are invited to an interview with the Admission Committee to assess character and the clarity of their ministerial calling.
Step 4: Notification and Enrollment Upon acceptance, the candidate will receive an official letter from IBI and must pay the first semester's tuition fees to finalize their enrollment.
