1. ABOUT THIS APPLICATION
InstiQ is a smart academic management application designed
for schools, colleges, and coaching institutes in India. It
helps manage attendance, marks, assignments, exams, and
academic operations across all user roles.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Personal Information:
- Full name, email address, phone number
- Role within the institution (Student, Teacher, Admin etc.)
- Profile photograph (optional)
Academic Information:
- Student roll numbers, class, batch details
- Examination marks and results
- Attendance records
- Assignment details
- Holiday and exam schedules
Technical Information:
- Firebase Authentication tokens
- Device information for app functionality

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use collected information solely for:
- Managing academic records within your institution
- Providing role-based access to relevant information
- Enabling communication between institution stakeholders
- Generating academic reports and analytics
- Improving application performance
We do NOT use your data for advertising or marketing
to third parties.

4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
- All data is stored on Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore
servers (Asia South — Mumbai, India)
- Data is encrypted in transit using TLS encryption
- Each institution's data is fully isolated from others
- Firebase Security Rules prevent unauthorized access
- Role-based access ensures users only see relevant data

5. WHO CAN ACCESS YOUR DATA
Student → Own attendance, marks, assignments
Parent → Their child's academic records
Teacher → Their allocated classes and students
Academic Admin → All data within their institution
Super Admin → All data within their institution
No one outside your institution can access your data.

6. DATA SHARING
We do NOT sell or share your data with any third party
except:
- Google Firebase — for storage and authentication
- Legal authorities — only if required by Indian law

7. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
- Data is retained as long as the institution's account
is active
- Institute admins can request data deletion by
contacting us
- On account termination, all data is permanently deleted
within 30 days

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
InstiQ may be used by students under 18 years of age
under supervision of their educational institution.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children
without institutional oversight.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Changes will be notified through the app. Continued use
of InstiQ after changes means you accept the updated policy.
