Our economy is transitioning into an AI-driven era, where data centers form the essential infrastructure. While existing management research largely focuses on how AI enhances firms’ operational efficiency, our interest lies in understanding the environmental impact of AI. 

우리 경제는 AI 중심의 시대로 전환되고 있으며, 이 과정에서 데이터 센터는
필수 핵심 인프라로 자리잡고 있습니다. 기존의 경영학 연구는 주로 AI가 기업의 운영 효율성에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 다루어왔지만, 저희는 AI가 초래하는 환경적 영향을 밝히는 연구를 진행하고 있습니다.

Prior research has highlighted the unintended negative consequences of environmental regulations (Berry, Kaul and Lee, 2021; Lee and Kaul Forthcoming). Our project investigates how firms develop and adopt green technologies to enhance our understanding of their potential as a more effective and sustainable solution to environmental pollution, particularly greenhouse gas emissions. 

기존 연구들은 환경 규제가 초래할 수 있는 의도치 않은 부정적인 결과들을 지적해왔습니다. 저희 연구는 기업들이 어떻게 친환경 기술을 개발하고 실질적인 기업 운영에 도입하는지를 탐구함으로써, 특히 온실가스와 같은 환경오염 문제에 대해 보다 효과적이고 지속가능한 해결책으로서 친환경 기술의 가능성에 대한 이해를 높이고자 합니다.
