Chae Un is a Ph.D. student in the KAIST GGGS with a background in international politics. Her research focuses on green innovation and environmental policy. Drawing on her prior experience at the Korea Environment Institute, she investigates how institutions influence the development and diffusion of environmentally sustainable technologies and practices.

안녕하세요😊 저는 카이스트 GGGS 박사과정 임채은입니다.  사실 저는 처음부터 공학이나 데이터 분석을 공부한 사람이 아니었어요. 인문학과 사회과학을 배워왔고, '내가 이런 걸 할 수 있을까?'라는 고민도 많았죠. 그런데 재미있는 걸 따라가다 보니, 어느새 새로운 분야에서 연구를 하고 있더라고요. 새로운 길에 도전하는 게 쉽지는 않지만, 결국 중요한 건 ‘내가 진짜 궁금한 것’이라고 생각해요. 저처럼 전공과 전혀 다른 길로 온 분들이라면, 두려움보다 재미를 따라가 보라고 말씀드리고 싶어요! 같은 고민을 하고 있다면 언제든 편하게 이야기 나눠요. 함께 배우고 성장해요! 🌍🌱 

Min Jae Kim

Min Jae is a Master’s student at KAIST College of Business, where he explores the intersection of sustainability and technology. With strong interests in data science and AI, his current research examines how artificial intelligence adoption affects firm-level energy efficiency and ESG performance. He is particularly interested in using computational methods to analyze how technological change can drive sustainable outcomes in business.

안녕하세요! Mustafa Kumdere

Mustafa is an undergraduate double majoring in Computer Science and Business Technology Management at KAIST. As a student researcher at INSTIL, he focuses on sustainable AI and the role of energy generation in shaping corporate environmental outcomes. His research examines how the rise of data centers and AI infrastructures affects corporate energy use and environmental performance.

JeongMok Kim

M.S Student Management and Technology

Jeongmok developed an interest in global warming and the carbon ecosystem  while working in environmental roles at a company. Currently, he is working in production management and have a deep curiosity about the innovative impacts of big data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics on industry and business. In particular, he aims to focus his research on how the advancement of AI and robotics transforms the structure of the industry value chain, as well as its effects on energy and costs.
