Common Questions & Troubleshooting

1. The audio isn’t playing.

On iOS (iPhone/iPad):

• Make sure your device’s sound is turned on and not muted.
  
  

• Check if the Silent Mode switch is enabled — switch it off to allow playback.
  
  

• If the issue continues, close and reopen the app.
  
  

On Android devices:

• Ensure the media volume (not ringtone volume) is turned up.

2. Can I use the app offline?

• Yes! Learn Japanese: Tap & Speak is designed to work offline after download.
  
  

• Audio and phrase content are fully available without internet.
  
  

3. How do I change the display language?

• Open the Settings menu inside the app.
  
  

• Choose whether to show translations in English, Traditional Chinese, or both.
  
  

4. Can I hide alcohol-related phrases?

• Yes. In the Settings menu, you can enable “Hide Alcohol Content.”

5. The app crashed or froze.
