Provisional Logo of the project
The main goal of the project is for students to be aware of the fact that learning about values will help them turn into responsible teenagers. Some of the competences we want to assure are as follows: - Developing critical thinking and empathy; - Promoting a positive school climate; - Preparation for life outside school; - Stimulating creativity and teamwork; - Integration of values in formal and non-formal education; - Developing digital skills; - Improving English vocabulary; -Improving Communication Skills.
On our Twinspace all teachers uploaded the work they did with students in order to let them be aware of the e-safety rules of the project. Some teachers let students prepare e-posters, others joined cyber security conferences, other ones prepared a whole lesson on the topic. Students and parents were informed about DO and DON'TS ON THE NET before starting the on line part of the project.
Teachers prepared a Canva presentation to introduce their schools
We tried to create a map of our schools throghout Europe
Students created Logos, they voted the best one into their schools and then we had an internaational logo contst where we chose the representative logo of the project
schools were paired and students were invited to write letters about their families, then they put the letters on the digipad wall and exchanged the letters, read the answers and commented about them. All in a sudden the wall increased so much because students' interaction on this task was huge.
Our schools were paired for this activity. Every team created a poster about a certain subject about responsibility (personal, social, professional etc.). Posters were added on the Canva collaborative presentation below:
Students worked on Respect and what this word means for them. Teachers created a lesson in which students brainstormed about the value studied and in how many ways the Word Respect can be declined
Pupils wrote their words on a Menti module and then created a word puzzle with learningapps.
Students were asked to create a graphic about Honesty, someone created an image with AI tools, someone else created a poster or a slide or a pesonification. Here are the students' gaphics about
The value of Honesty
Teachers created surveys for students, teachers and parents in order to receive an evaluation obout the project.
One of the question for teachers was:
"Please briefly describe what to improve for the realization of a better project."
Here are some answers:
Inspiring Integrity: Teaching Core Values in Schools was a good project, although there were many activities to do. It was usefull for students to talk about values and to communicate with students in the other schools. I hope we all collaborate in a new project next year. Thank you!
This was my first eTwinning project. From my point of view it was perfect. The fact that we had varied activities involving both teachers and students, along with the use of various digital tools and platforms, were, without a doubt, essential pillars of a successful eTwinning project.
Community Engagement: Build strong partnerships with parents, local communities, and international organizations to foster a sense of belonging and collaboration.
More time for each activity, we had to start before
more time for activities
To improve the project, I suggest increasing student interaction through more collaborative international activities, using digital tools more effectively, and integrating values with real-life tasks. Encouraging student voice in each stage would also enhance the impact.
Here are some general points to improve for a better project realization: Effective Communication: Establish regular communication channels among team members and stakeholders; Risk Management: Identify potential risks early and prepare mitigation strategies; Quality Control: Implement consistent quality checks and feedback loops; Flexibility: Be ready to adapt plans based on progress and unforeseen challenges; Post-Project Review: Conduct evaluations after completion to learn and improve future projects.
It was a great project with active partners. I enjoyed each activity and the way we' ve collaborated!
In that project , I've met with new ICT tools. I had lots of fun during the process but we worked a lot in a few months. So it could be better to have the whole process during an educational year. Except that everything was perfect and I had lots of fun to be a part of the project. I'm so glad because I've learnt a lot of new techniques and I met with new friends.
To improve the realization of a better eTwinning project, consider the following key areas for enhancement: Innovative and Engaging Activities: Design creative, interactive tasks that promote critical thinking, digital skills, and intercultural exchange. Effective Communication: Maintain regular, open communication between teachers and students using diverse channels (forums, video calls, messaging). Integration into Curriculum: Align project activities with the curriculum to ensure educational relevance and added value.
It was an excellent project, with extraordinary involvement from everyone.
This project was very well organized.
Final products were:
a poster, a calendar and a collage of videos recollecting what students have learned.
Teachers agree in carring out another project, maybe on a single Value, because they found the topic intersting and worth to be investigated more, depending on the age of students and the timing of the school year.
Communication between teachers was realized through a Whatsapp group.
There were also online meetings and vis a vis meetings.
