In the “Inspiring Female Youth” initiative we strive to create a safe space for young girls in St. Francis College to talk about the struggles and obstacles they face in today’s society and give them an opportunity to share and learn from others’ experiences and flourish together.
IFY aims to bring in accomplished and hardworking women who have been through similar experiences that our girls may most likely undergo, and have them offer advice and share stories. By doing so, girls at our school will be better equipped to start a career in male-dominated industries and know how to use their voices.
Not only does IFY hold seminars, but our committee also organizes workshops, events and launches projects to encourage girls to grow and work towards their goals.
Simultaneously, we will bring attention to the fact that we are part of a privileged society, and want to make sure that we don’t turn a blind eye to other minorities while preparing our girls to acknowledge that women who aren’t in a position of privilege face challenges as well as just ours. This includes obstacles they can face because of race as well as poverty, and we will take it upon ourselves to come together and support each other, regardless of appearance, culture or background.
Guiding other young girls through a process of gaining confidence and control over their journey, while working towards strengthening their ability to influence the direction of social change via their voice.
Helping cherish our bodies and amplify self-love, as well as coming to terms with our own womanhood while understanding what it means to be a woman.
Cultivating prosperity and purpose by nurturing our emotional and intuitive aspects, redefining social norms while helping each other become better women.

I have been fortunate enough to grow up surrounded by so many empowered women, who have shaped me into who I am today. This made me learn the importance of having a safe environment for girls to talk to one another, sympathize with each other, and grow together. This is what inspired me to start IFY. I saw a lack of female representation in my school, and I felt an obligation to do something about it. Not only will this project allow other girls in school to know how to deal with being female in modern-day society, it will also give them access to learning and maturing experiences that could help smoothen their transition into the world. I am so incredibly proud of our team and am excited for what the future holds for IFY.
I joined IFY because empowering women in the first essential step en systematic and prejudiced dogmas on gender inequality. Societal pressure and standards makes us girls feel small and unworthy. I want to make girls realize that they are so much more to what we can see at first glance. Everything about ourselves is unique, and we are allowed to dream, reach, work hard for and conquer anything, just as much as anybody else, with no shame or hesitation.

I joined Inspiring Female Youth to transform the new generation into independent, strong and confident women. I believe in the importance of empowering the youth and combatting the daily misogyny that we suffer. Our intention is not only to inspire through the incredible women we bring, but also to make a change. This project will impact so many lives and I am sure that, with all our efforts, it will be a great success. To make a change we must start small and grow from there. The new generation is the future of the world so we must do it right.
I joined IFY because I believe it is what the school needs. Women face challenges every single day, challenges that shouldn’t even exist, and by empowering the young girls of St. Francis, I believe we can overcome them! By advocating, raising awareness, and inspiring young girls, I know our community will thrive and grow as a whole! I am incredibly excited to start this project, and I know it will be a success! IFY is ready to allow young women to thrive!

I joined IFY to assure that no girl in our community would feel alone. For them to know they have support and other people going through the same struggles and doubts in their own lives. I believe that in order to adequately address gender disparity, we firstly have to feel safer and more united amongst ourselves, something I believe IFY strives for.
I joined IFY because I believe that it is a wonderful project that supports women and girls and shows all of us inside the school community and outside that we matter and that we can be heard. IFY is inspiring and I truly believe that through the multiple projects that we have done and will do we can help the school and perhaps our society to become a more open and accepting place.

I joined Inspiring Female Youth with the intention to inspire young women to pursue their passions and succeed. I joined this project to help break common stereotypes and stigmas frequently placed on women, resulting in girls putting limitations on themselves and their goals. By advocating and sharing personal stories, whether of resilience or vulnerability, we hope to teach a new generation of young women the importance of confidence, self-promotion, and ambition, showcasing that there are no limits to our goals and achievements.
