I have always had a special place in my heart for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a child my cousin and best friend Jennifer was diagnosed with a genetic disorder that would eventually lead her to become wheel-chair bound. Causing even the simplest of tasks to become difficult. Even though she was limited her disability never stopped her from achieving what she wanted. She always had drive and determination regardless of her situation. She refused to let her disability define who she was. Even with these road blocks she reminded me that EVERYONE wants and deserves as many opportunities to live their life to the fullest. Fifteen years after she passed I was introduced and became a part of an amazing company that allows individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to travel the world. Being able to be part of these experiences reminded me that I wanted to do my part and offer individuals the opportunity to travel local as well. I was determined to figure out a way to make my vision happen. After a lot of late nights, hard work and determined heart I can proudly say that my company Inspire Vacations is finally a reality! I am excited to share and hopefully create a lifetime of memories, success and smiles for all of you.
