i started writing a zine as a therapeutic means of dealing with the myriad ways in which chronic insomnia (stemming from a diagnosed circadian rhythm sleep disorder) impacts my daily existence. insomniughhh marks my return to zine making after a long break (i wrote a zine called vacation when i was in high school, and a one-off fanzine for a band around 2004), and i was inspired to revisit the zine medium by reading the wonderful girl zines: making media, doing feminism by the late alison piepmeier as part of my 2017 50-book challenge. the rest is history.
