I earned my Masters in Psychology while working for Yale Psychiatric Hospital. This intensive, inpatient, setting was an exceptional learning environment and developed within me profound compassion for the patients in my care. It was this experience that convinced me to pursue clinical licensing as a psychotherapist. After roughly five years I transitioned to working at the intensive outpatient (IOP) level of care and focused primarily on the treatment of addiction with concurrent mental health issues. I worked in direct care and leadership roles at both the IOP and outpatient care settings as a licensed clinician before pivoting to private practice full-time in 2017.
My professional and continuing education interests have led me to attended silent meditation retreats, pursue training in contemporary evidence based practices, teach in graduate and undergraduate settings, and remain connected with colleagues and providers in associated disciplines through membership in the Coastal Wellness Collective and clinical supervision meetings. Having the privilege to offer consulting to other health professionals has become a growing and enjoyable part of my professional activities.
