Bottled away
I can feel the wind in my hair
Like anger rising through the air
I can feel the wave splash on my face
Reminding me of my last disgrace
Although I know this memory will not last
As we reach this wall of glass
Where we must all stay
All bottled away

note from the poet :
This poem was quite important to me being it was the first poem ever wrote it was part of an exercise led by an amazing poet who i may reveal at a later date but this poem represents me falling in love with poetry and all aspects of a poems beauty . As the first poem , lets face it , it is not the best but honestly i am really proud of it , as it led me on this incredible journey to now be able to share this with whoever may happen to stumble across this . Creating this poem i was challenged to connect my inner thoughts. it was described to me as the felling of saying l,m,n,o,p in the alphabet like they all just fall together . so this poem was about crossing that line and reaching in to the often unexplored depths of own minds. when given task to write a poem in five minutes i became fascinated by the image of a ship in a bottle and how it looked so free on its own little sea but was really stuck bound by the bottles walls .So i used that imagery to show how we pun very much intended often bottle up our own emotions much like the model ship inside the bottle . i tried explore that sentiment in the this poem . I hope even if you cannot relate you can still see my thinking though this " okay "poem.
