The International Natural Product Sciences Taskforce (INPST) brings together scientists and key opinion leaders of the natural product scientific research field, as well as representatives of multiple scientific excellence centers and pharmaceutical and natural product-related industry. Represented scientific areas include Nutrition and Food Sciences, Pharmacology and Drug Discovery, Medicinal Chemistry, Ethnopharmacology and Ethnobotany, Phytochemistry and Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Physiology and Medicine, Toxicology, and Systems Biology. Major aims of the taskforce are to promote collaborative natural product-focused research and science communication.

Natural product-focused sciences address many of the pressing global problems, including the search for new medicines, the establishment of better healthcare in all societies, and the development of better food and food supplements. By tackling evolving scientific challenges, researchers are constantly creating an ever-increasing body of knowledge. We aim to promote natural product research by offering new scientific approaches, to stimulate international collaborative research work, and to use digital age-techniques to communicate scientific findings to both the wide scientific community and the public audience.
