To date, the problem of aggressive manifestations in interpersonal relationships of student youth is extremely acute. In recent years, the spread of such a phenomenon in educational practice as school bullying, which can be considered the first step towards real violence and criminal behavior, has been recognized. Children are the most vulnerable category, they socialize, learn different patterns of behavior, and, unfortunately, bullying is becoming one of these models. Hooligans (bullies) are extremely resourceful. Their latest "invention" is cyber-bullying, ie bullying using electronic means of communication. Nowadays, it is especially popular among older teenagers.
Bullying is an aggressive behavior that is usually repeated. It is intended to cause harm, cause fear or anxiety, or create a negative school environment for another person.
It is important to remember that bullying is different from a quarrel or conflict between children
Bullying can take many forms. It can be physical, verbal, social, written, electronic (commonly known as cyberbullying).
Why does it happen that at a certain stage of life and learning, some children resort to destructive behavior and begin to harass others?
We should remember, that children adopt the attitudes, reactions, and behaviors of adults that they often transmit unconsciously.
Therefore, parents and teachers should work on their emotions, follow their own statements and actions, reactions and behaviors, so as not to provoke bullying (harassment).
Bullying is completely unacceptable. It should not be seen simply as a "period of adulthood."
Research and experience have consistently confirmed that bullying is a serious problem that has far-reaching implications for the students involved, their families, peers and the immediate community.
Children who are victims, or who bully other children, or who are both victims and bullies, are at risk for a number of emotional and behavioral and relationship problems.
They will need adult support to help them develop healthy relationships with people not only at school but throughout their lives.
