These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of KeyReader (the "App"), provided by Strigunov Oleg ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Description of the App
KeyReader is a reading application that allows users to import and read EPUB files, save vocabulary, and use optional AI/translation features.
2. Eligibility
You must comply with applicable laws in your jurisdiction when using the App. If you are under the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with permission of a parent or legal guardian.
3. User Content and Responsibility
You are responsible for all content you import, submit, or process through the App, including EPUB files, text excerpts, and chat inputs.
You represent that you have all necessary rights to use such content and that your use does not violate any law or third-party rights.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the App for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes;
- infringe intellectual property or privacy rights;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or compromise the App;
- use the App in a way that violates third-party provider terms.
5. AI and Translation Features
Some features send selected text to third-party providers (such as DeepSeek, DeepL, and MyMemory) to generate AI or translation results.
AI-generated or translated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate and is provided for informational purposes only.
You are solely responsible for reviewing and relying on such output.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party APIs and infrastructure. We are not responsible for the availability, content, security, or practices of third-party services.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, and branding (excluding user-provided content and third-party materials), is owned by Strigunov Oleg and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use, unless otherwise permitted by law.
8. No Warranty
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strigunov Oleg shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Strigunov Oleg from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App or certain features at any time, including if you violate these Terms.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
12. Changes to the App or Terms
We may modify, update, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time.
We may also update these Terms; the updated version will be indicated by a new Effective Date.
Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Russia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14. Apple App Store Terms
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:
- these Terms are between you and Strigunov Oleg, not Apple;
- Apple is not responsible for the App or its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
15. Subscriptions
The App may offer auto-renewable subscriptions that provide access to premium features.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings.
Any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
