Title: The BPM Sandwich Model - Balancing Emergence and Control in Times of Continuous Change
Abstract: Organizations need to continuously adapt their business processes to keep pace with dynamic changes in their business environments. This implies that Business Process Management (BPM) needs to shift from static process models and governance structures to ephemeral process conceptualizations. In this talk, I present the ‘BPM Sandwich Model’, which balances between top-down control and bottom-up emergence in next generation Process Innovation.
A paper presenting core elements of the talk can be found here.
