What is your most memorable IPPN experience? It was my first time to visit the Women's Correctional and I was surprised but also very glad that we can actually have penal institution that is clean, orderly, organized and most of all, humane to prisoners.
Why did you choose to volunteer for the IPPN?IPPN plays a very important role in "rescuing" a large number of innocent Filipinos wrongly accused and convicted and I want to contribute in their noble and challenging cause.

What is your most memorable IPPN experience? The most memorable experience for me would be the visit to the Bilibid. The fact that we were able to actually talk to the prisoners and let them relay what they went through is a very englightening experience. It opened our eyes to the reality of how important roles of lawyers are. Furthermore, it made me realize that there is a clamor for the reparation of the faulty justice system that we have had for years. People who's lives are stake hang on the balance.
Why did you choose to volunteer for the IPPN?I believe that convicting just anyone without proper and fair [trial] for the peace of those who had been victims is a big lie. This must be stopped. The Philippine Justice system must be improved to truly give justice to Filipinos. Having just anyone behind bars to pay for sins of others is not justice. I would like to be one of those who will ensure that those who are innocent will not waste years in prison. I am here to make sure that justice is served.

What is your most memorable IPPN experience? It was very enriching to be able to enter the maximum security prison of the Bilibid and interact with the inmates first hand. I learned so many things, but the top realization is that there is a need to have more volunteers to better the condition of our prisons as well as to take a closer look at the cases of those who have been convicted.
Why did you choose to volunteer for the IPPN?I believe in the cause of IPPN. No innocent individual should be languishing inside our prisons. Otherwise, no one is safe. But more than that, it just flies in the face of our concept of justice to just stand idly by without doing anything, knowing fully well that individuals might have been possibly deprived of their most fundamental civil liberties even though they do not deserve it.

What is your most memorable IPPN experience? The interviewing part in the Bilibid and Correctional was the most memorable IPPN experience for me. It was tedious but humbling experience. It opened my eyes to the reality of injustice.
Why did you choose to volunteer for the IPPN?I have been blessed by the Lord my whole life. He helped and continues to help me in reaching my childhood dream of becoming a lawyer. This is my way of giving back. I am honored to be able to serve for the IPPN.

What is your most memorable IPPN experience? The actual visit and interviews I had with the applicants were the ones which struck me the most. Everything I did that day was my first and it all became such an invaluable educational experience for me. Not only that, I recall having interviewed one applicant who was very hopeful to be considered as subject for the IPPN. He was so excited to come forward our table, bringing with him all his documents and CA's decision on his case. however, he got very dismayed as we had to decline his interview because his case has not attained finality yet. He left tear-eyed. I know he was just among many others fighting for their case and praying to be considered for IPPN. but we had to abide by the rules of the project, set priorities of target clients, get more volunteers to conduct the interviews despite limited time.
Why did you choose to volunteer for the IPPN?I believe in the cause of IPPN and I want to be part of it. As law students, we have been studying hard to groom ourselves to be great lawyers in the future. Why not start now? It is very rewarding to be part of a project that advocates for individuals who have been let down by our criminal justice system. I want to see firsthand the very real consequences of systemic injustices of wrongful convictions and nothing is more fulfilling than to help achieve its honorable mission.
