2024 Senate Election Results

Today, at 15:00 BST (GMT-8) the independent Inner Baldonian election authority released the results for the 2024 senate elections. The relatively new Baldonian Workers Party (BWP) took a majority over the ruling Inner Baldonian Monkey Party (BMP). This will bring an end to the Monkey Party's long rule over the Inner Baldonian Senate.

The Baldonian Workers Party was founded mere weeks ago, and has quickly rose in public opinion since then. They're ideology of socialism and ideas of a socialist state were well received by voters. The BWP has promised radical changes to the structure of the country. Promising things like centralised transit, and looser restrictions on citizenship and immigration.

This frankly astonishing result disturbed some members of the ruling party in the Inner Baldonian Senate.

The Baldonian Monkey Party has been in power since the foundation of the Inner Baldonian Senate in June 2022. Many within the monkey party see the BWP as a radicalist, revolutionary party. But nonetheless, they have won the majority of 11/20 seats in the Baldonian Legislature, with 7/20 won by the Monkey Party and 2/20 won by Independent candidates.
