History

The Inman Pavilion is managed by volunteers of the Garden Village Community Association (G.V.C.A.)

It is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO)

The original building was named in 1954 for Councillor Oliver Inman in recognition of his 20 years service to the Stocksbridge and District community. It was replaced by the existing building in 1965. Public subscription paid for his commemorative window in St Matthias Church.

You can hire the Inman Pavilion for occasional or regular events.

Over the last 60 years, GVCA has hosted a variety of activities such as discos, dances, parties, lunch clubs, wedding receptions, toddler groups, model car clubs,

dog training, dance schools and amateur dramatics to name but a few.

It is hoped it will continue to provide a space for community use for many years to come.

Get in touch if you would like to explore supporting the running of the Inman Pavilion in any way - advice is always welcome.
