About the Artist:

My name is Louise Avery. I am a Hastings born local artist. A secondary school History teacher by trade, I produce pieces in my spare time.

About the Art

The pieces are produced using mixed media, normally an ink and bleach background with layers of coloured pencil. Local landscapes and animals, both real and mythological tend to be the focus of my work, but I find inspiration in all manner of places.

Art Prints

Most pieces are available in sizes from A6 to A2 upon request. The finest quality Giclee prints are produced by Solaris Prints of St Leonards using the highest quality art paper. In some respects the prints are an improvement on the originals, being more archival due to the nature of bleach.

Resin Items - I create jewellery, coasters, trays and cake stands using epoxy resin. These are all unique, one off individual pieces. As a result there may be small flaws, adding to its hand made aesthetic. SEE PRICES ON INDIVIDUAL LISTINGS.

Bookmarks

All bookmarks are one off original pieces painted on both sides. All come with a tassel and thick plastic cover to ensure longevity. Slogans are written on one side. Any bookmark can be given a further personal touch with a name, slogan or small illustration for a little extra cost.

Resin Pieces

All resin pieces are unique. These hand made items may have small faults, which add to their charm. Coasters can safely be used with hot drinks, but it is advised to take care using those without cork or rubber feet on very hot surfaces as the resin can become more pliable in hot temperatures. If this happens, place in a cooler area to allow the resin to return to normal.
