Data we collect
Inkmarks stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage (chrome.storage.local):
Text you highlight from AI chat conversations
Notes you attach to highlights
Colour labels you assign to highlights
The URL and title of the conversation where a highlight was made
Where your data goes
Nowhere. All data stays on your device.
Inkmarks makes no network requests, has no servers, and does not transmit any information to us or any third party.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect analytics or usage data
We do not collect personally identifiable information
We do not use cookies
We do not share any data with third parties
Permissions
Inkmarks requests the following Chrome permissions:
Storage — to save your highlights locally on your device
Tabs — to locate an open ChatGPT tab when you click the toolbar icon
Windows — to bring that window into focus
Deleting your data
You can delete individual highlights from the sidebar, or delete all highlights at once using the "Clear all" option.
Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data permanently.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new effective date.
