If you want a functional wireless winch system to recover your 1:10 scale rock crawler from the mud, choose INJORA Metal Automatic Winch; if you need a lightweight, forged carbon fiber steering top plate to lower the center of gravity on your high-speed 6S Arrma beast, choose GamlyRC ARA320598.
These two products sit in completely different corners of the RC world. One is a heavy-duty recovery tool designed for slow, technical crawling, while the other is a performance upgrade for aggressive, high-speed bashing. You cannot swap them or expect one to do the job of the other. The decision comes down entirely to what kind of vehicle you drive and what specific mechanical function you are trying to enhance. I have analyzed the design sheets and feature lists for both items to help you decide which one belongs in your build box.
• INJORA Metal Automatic Winch: Its biggest strength is the inclusion of a wireless remote receiver that allows you to control the cable deployment without being tethered to the car. The trade-off is its specific compatibility, as it is strictly limited to 1:10 scale crawlers like the Axial SCX10 and TRX4. This pick is for pet owners who enjoy slow-paced off-roading with their dogs or simply want a reliable way to pull their rig out of sticky situations without getting dirty.
• GamlyRC ARA320598: Its biggest strength is the use of carbon fiber construction, which significantly reduces weight compared to plastic or aluminum parts, improving handling dynamics. The trade-off is that it is a single mounting plate with no moving parts, meaning it only serves the steering assembly of specific 6S high-voltage vehicles. This pick is for the speed-focused builder looking to sharpen the agility of their Kraton or Typhon.
The INJORA Metal Automatic Winch is built for the technical side of the hobby. When you look at the specifications, this unit is clearly engineered for utility and scale realism rather than raw speed. These dimensions suggest a component designed to fit within the tight chassis of a 1:10 scale crawler without overwhelming the front suspension geometry.
The standout feature here is the wireless remote receiver. In a real-world scenario, when your RC car gets bogged down in deep mud or stuck behind a log, you often need to stand far away from the vehicle to operate the winch safely. This system allows you to wind the wire cable out or retract it with the push of a button on the handheld controller. It eliminates the need to run wires back to a switch on the main board or to manually crank the line, which can be frustrating during a difficult recovery. The black finish and metal construction promise durability against the elements, which is essential for anyone taking their rig into wet trails.
However, this product is not for everyone. If you drive a 1/8 scale monster truck or a fast electric racer, this winch will not fit or function correctly. Furthermore, the user experience relies on the receiver maintaining a connection. The instructions note that if the controller fails to respond, you must restart the receiver by connecting power and holding the reset button until the red light flashes. While this is a standard troubleshooting step for electronic accessories, it indicates a system that requires proper setup to function reliably. If you prioritize simple plug-and-play mechanics over wireless convenience, this might feel overly complex for your needs.

This item is ideal for the pet owner who enjoys dragging their RC crawler through grassy fields or muddy patches where their dog might get involved in the play. Having a wireless winch means you can keep the distance between the car and yourself, allowing for safer interaction with pets while still ensuring your vehicle doesn't get lost in the terrain. It adds a layer of capability that turns a fragile model into a more robust recovery machine.
In stark contrast, the GamlyRC ARA320598 is a precision engineering part designed for performance enthusiasts who run high-voltage 6S setups. This is not a recovery tool; it is a structural upgrade for the steering system of massive 1/8 and 1/7 scale trucks. The product is compatible with a wide range of powerful Arrma models, including the Kraton, Notorious, Outcast, Talion, Typhon, Mojave, Felony, Infraction, Fireteam, and Limitless. If you own any of these machines, this part replaces the stock steering top plate to improve how the vehicle handles the immense torque generated by 6S batteries.
The most significant advantage listed in the data is the material composition. Unlike the plastic or aluminum plates found on many stock trucks, this unit utilizes carbon fiber. The description highlights a "forged purple flake pattern" and a woven texture with a glossy finish. Beyond the aesthetic appeal, which gives the vehicle a race-ready look, the carbon fiber offers a critical performance benefit: weight reduction. By lowering the overall mass of the vehicle and specifically reducing the center of gravity, this plate helps improve acceleration, braking, and cornering stability. When you are driving a large truck at high speeds, every gram saved matters for handling response.
There is a catch regarding installation and compatibility. This implies that even though the fitment is direct, choosing the wrong version could lead to alignment issues or interference with the steering arms. It does not include screws or drivers, so you must rely on the existing hardware from your vehicle or purchase them separately.
This product is perfect for the builder who wants to maximize the potential of their 6S Arrma truck. It transforms the steering assembly from a weak point into a rigid, lightweight pivot point. However, it offers no utility for crawling, towing, or slow-speed maneuvering. It is purely about dynamic performance. If you run a low-voltage 4S setup or a smaller scale car, this plate will likely not fit your chassis at all. The visual customization is a bonus, but the real value lies in the physics of the carbon fiber construction.
• Best for Wireless Recovery → INJORA Metal Automatic Winch provides a complete remote control system for pulling your car out of trouble.
• Best for High-Speed Handling → GamlyRC ARA320598 uses carbon fiber to lower the center of gravity and sharpen steering response on fast trucks.
• Best for Scale Realism → INJORA focuses on the look and function of a working winch for 1:10 rock crawlers.
• Best for Visual Customization → GamlyRC features a unique forged purple flake pattern and woven texture for a premium aesthetic.
• Best for Specific Vehicle Types → INJORA fits only 1:10 crawlers (SCX10, TRX4); GamlyRC fits only 1/8 and 1/7 Arrma monster trucks.
• Best for Weight Reduction → GamlyRC's carbon fiber design is lighter than the plastic or aluminum stock parts it replaces.
• Best for Low-Maintenance Setup → INJORA requires a reset procedure if the signal is lost, whereas GamlyRC is a passive bolt-on part.
• Best for Pet Owners → INJORA allows safe, distant operation of the winch while keeping the car under control near animals.
If I were building a 1:10 scale crawler today, I would buy the INJORA Metal Automatic Winch. The ability to wirelessly control the cable retraction is a game-changer for technical crawling. It solves a genuine problem—getting unstuck without getting your hands dirty—and the wireless receiver makes the process much smoother than traditional wired switches. For the pet owner, this is the clear winner because it allows for interactive play and recovery scenarios where safety and distance are paramount. The wireless nature keeps the operator free to manage the environment while the car works.
Conversely, if I were running a 6S Arrma Kraton, I would immediately grab the GamlyRC ARA320598. The weight savings and improved steering geometry are exactly what a high-power truck needs to handle the power of a 6S battery pack. The carbon fiber construction is superior to stock plastic, and the purple flake design looks fantastic on a rugged build. It is a no-brainer upgrade for anyone pushing the limits of their truck's speed and agility.
Ultimately, these two products serve entirely different masters. One pulls you out of the mud, and the other helps you fly over it. Choose based on the vehicle you own and the terrain you plan to conquer. Both offer solid solutions within their specific niches, provided you match them to the correct chassis.
It will not fit larger 1/8 scale vehicles.
It is made of carbon fiber, which is distinct from both aluminum and plastic. The manufacturer notes that this material choice makes the plate much lighter than the stock options found on many Arrma trucks.
According to the product notes, you should connect the power line to the receiver and hold down the reset button until the red light flashes to restart the system.
Yes, the product information states that no drilling is needed, but you must verify you have selected the correct model number (ARA320598 or AR320195) for your specific vehicle.
